Ticket Reporting Agency (TRA) participants have the authority to directly issue airline, bus, and/or rail tickets through a GDS. TRAs have access to ARC's first class financial settlement service, as well as to numerous travel agency tools, including ARC's credit card and service fee processing program, marketing and business product and services, and fraud prevention solutions. With over 16,000 agencies in the program today, the TRA program provides travel agencies with the ability to process tickets directly and independently, in addition to focusing on what travel professionals do best - sell travel.
The Verified Travel Consultant (VTC) program was created for the growing of agencies that do not directly issue airline, bus, and/or rail tickets through a GDS. VTCs are full service agencies - store front, office, home based, or hosted - specializing primarily in leisure travel. And although VTCs are not appointed to issue tickets, they can provide air, bus, and rail services by booking through alternative methods, such as a host, or a consolidator. As the fastest growing agency program in the industry today, VTC participation provides a level of independence for any agency type today. And with the coveted ARC number, as well travel agency products, programs, and services unmatched by any other travel agency program today, travel agencies can truly measure their return on investment.
